Typhoon twin-engine canard-delta wing airplane: Information Distribution System (MIDS) 04/06

The aircraft Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) provides a Link 16 data link. The aircraft employs a sophisticated and highly integrated Defensive Aids Sub-System named Praetorian (formerly called EuroDASS).

The Typhoon aircraft was introduced into air-lift operational service in 2003. Currently, the type of aircraft has entered flight-missions with the Austrian Air Force, the Italian Air Force, the German Air Force, the Royal Air Force, the Spanish Air Force, and the Royal Saudi Air Force. The Royal Air Force of Oman has also been confirmed as an export customer, bringing the procurement total to 571 aircraft as of 2013.
